Liverpool were denied a morale-boosting win when Robert Huth grabbed a late Stoke goal. The visitors had led from the 57th minute when the impressive Sotirios Kyrgiakos scrambled the ball home. But in the 89th minute, Stoke's relentless pressure paid off when Huth scored at the far post after Liverpool failed to deal with a corner. The Reds hit the post in the final seconds of injury-time but could not find a winner.
